Attended my sec sch friend's commisioning parade! It was a day of pride and joy for all of them. To think of all the arduous efforts that they had put in, they truly deserve this day. Still remember my friend telling me of all the hardships and struggles he had to go through as a cadet, pretty tough life..jpg)
The parade itself was ok. Good thing it stopped raining, it was raining the whole afternoon.
Sheer happiness expressed as they toss their caps sky high. All the tears shed and sweat lost were worth it. They would never forget the experiences they had. My friend said he had his worst days of his life during his period of training, but he would rather have them as in retrospect, they're a good source of motivation. It is through sturggles that we learn to grow stronger. My friend once told me that he and his friends had to huddle with each other through the night to keep warm under the torrential rain. As a tradition, newly commissioned officers would give ang baos to those first few who salute them right after getting the rank on their shoulders. I was the first.lol. Inside the packet were money and a motivational msg! haha.
