Have you seen military personnel fighting with handheld sticks?!

I bet it's a rare sight but that's precisely what I have witnessed at Amoy Quee camp! They are 'fighting' for perfection to prepare for our nation's birthday celebrations on the 9th of August! This year, Martial House has gladly agreed to collaborate with SAF to put up a performance on martial arts during NDP. Manpower will consist of hundred over Wushu artists from Martial House and twice as many martial-arts-trained soldiers! It will certainly be a magnificient display of might and muscle on the actual day.

While I was down touring, I had the privilege to exchange conversation with Mr Leo Wen Yeow, the director as well as head coach of Martial House! In response to how he feels about being a part of this year's NDP, Mr Leo expressed that he is rather excited and definitely honored to be offered such an opportunity. He hinted that the martial art display will be beyond the orthodox. Expect a modernized touch to the traditional Wushu! To depict S'pore's perservance in getting through countless obstacles, the title 'Against All Odds' was thus coined for this performance.

Let's not forget our soldiers! Despite having no prior knowledge in martial arts.. Despite potentially having weekends burned for practices.. Despite having to bear through endless and exhausting rehearsals.. Their determination drives them on! Highlighting to you the fighting spirit of the defenders of this nation!
