Finally, we get to see the funpacks! And I must say the funpacks this year look really good.
8 colours available for you to play around with. Summore, the flaps are interchangeable. 64 possible combinations for you to choose - you can make it uniquely yours! After a brief introduction of the funpacks by LTC Chow Wai Yein, Chairman of Logistics Committee, a fashion show unfolded. Watch them transform!

On top of that, what you have seen of the funpacks is just one side of it. Literally. They can actually be transformed from a massenger bag to a tote bag and vice versa. How cool is that!

After the fashion show was over, we decided to try out the transformation. Just a simple one.

This way, the bag is really practical and besides the 8 colours featured above, there is actually a special edition bag!! This is definitely my favourite! And everyone can actually have this for themselves. I think I'm going to get it too. So for those who didn't win the tickets, dun feel sad!! For every donation of $15 to the Community Chest, the donor will receive this special edition bag.

Do your part for charity and receive this bag! Check out the donation form for more details. There are only 10000 of them. Go get them fast!

Also, we interviewed LTC Chow about the funpack and he shared with us how it all came about.

Read more about the FunPacks here. And do share your thoughts and feelings about this year's FunPack with us =)

Well, the gift idea is good. We hope to be able to give them out too. For now, maybe can consider the special edition one. Doing charity at the same time too. =D

I think this is silly.. a Crumpler look-alike? People buy this Crumpler messenger bag for its quality and brand (it originated from Australia). To have a copycat for our NDP? Believe me, like all other free bags, it'll be sent to the garang-guni after the event's over, even my auntie also find it 'obiang'. I seriously think we should promote going 'green'. Putting all the goodies into a recyclable bag like those sold in cold storage would be more practical and environmental friendly. At least after that, people can still reuse them to buy groceries.

That's why sometimes less is more. Overdoing defeats the basic purpose. I dun think the committee puts social consciousness as 1st priority in coming up with the design of the goodie bag. Of all the countries I've stayed, Singapore is one of the least environmental-friendly countries; shoppers generally do not bring reusable bags, every bun is put into a plastic bag then put into another bigger plastic carrier bag, pple often buy things they dun need then throw them into the Salvation Army collection centre. This is one aspect that Singapore really has to work on: Social consciousness - to be more empathetic towards others, esp to our earth, minority groups, disability and class. This will be my greatest wish for our nation's 44th birthday.

personally, i agree with you guys... thriftiness is something that singaporeans seem to lack... but not all singaporeans are like that...

in any case, that's a noble wish to have for singapore. let's all hope that with each progressive year, singapore would mature and in doing that, become a place where we all are proud to call Home.
